Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a method of psychotherapy that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma, anxiety, complicated grief, stress reduction, and many other disorders. It is a set of standardized protocols that incorporates elements from many different treatment approaches.
Dianne believes that when we are healthy and whole we are capable of continual emotional, spiritual, and intellectual growth. She sees psychotherapy as a powerful tool for healing the wounds that impede our growth and for facilitating the growth process. She believes we are all on the path together and that she is growing alongside the client as they work through the client's healing process. She continues to do her own healing work, which often helps her feel a personal connection to client's experiences. Clients often express comfort and relief with how they interact from the very first session and many have referred their friends to her.
