Samantha Rushing

Samantha Rushing earned her Master of Education in Counseling from the University of Houston and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Wellness Coach (CWC) committed to helping individuals, couples, and families discover new ways of thinking, communicating, and exploring who they want to be in the world.

Drawing from her training as a counselor and coach, Samantha uses an eclectic approach to help clients cultivate the tools necessary to create meaningful and lasting change in their lives. She works compassionately and collaboratively with clients experiencing a range of issues including relationship difficulties, family communication, depression, anxiety, weight loss, stress management, substance abuse, and adjusting to change/life transitions. Samantha's prior work experience as a counselor in the university and secondary school settings lends itself to the needs of individuals seeking academic, college, and career guidance. She is a Certified Prepare-Enrich Counselor and a member of both the
Houston LPC Association (HLPCA) and Houston Group Psychotherapy Society (HGPS).

Dianne Pulsipher

Dianne Pulsipher is a psychotherapist with excellent empathy, listening, and clinical skills. Her goal is to make a positive difference in the lives of her clients and to help them develop a sense of self-worth, competence, self-reliance, and self-acceptance. She specializes in trauma, codependency, performance enrichment, and spirituality as it relates to psychological well being. She also treats anxiety, depression, grief, adjustment to loss, and relationship issues. Dianne is a Certified EMDR therapist. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a method of psychotherapy that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma, anxiety, complicated grief, stress reduction, and many other disorders. It is a set of standardized protocols that incorporates elements from many different treatment approaches.

Dianne believes that when we are healthy and whole we are capable of continual emotional, spiritual, and intellectual growth. She sees psychotherapy as a powerful tool for healing the wounds that impede our growth and for facilitating the growth process. She believes we are all on the path together and that she is growing alongside the client as they work through the client's healing process. She continues to do her own healing work, which often helps her feel a personal connection to client's experiences. Clients often express comfort and relief with how they interact from the very first session and many have referred their friends to her.

Sue Steinbrecker

Sue Steinbruecker is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a psychotherapist in private practice. She received her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Valparaiso (Indiana) University, her Master of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and has a certificate from Northwestern University in Family Studies. Sue brings clinical experience in healthcare settings (M.D. Anderson, UTMB, hospice) to her practice. Sue offers special expertise in working with people facing life altering illness and those in the midst of loss and grief. Jennifer Palermo

Jennifer Palermo, MA, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston Clearlake and an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art and Art History from Rice University. She treats adolescents and adults through individual, couples, family and group sessions. She is a compassionate and caring clinician.

Her work is informed by the balance of working from both a depth-oriented position which can focus on the past and the unconscious and a solution focused perspective which attends to the present and future. This allows her to work with clients to address underlying causes that impact their present and to collaborate in the creation of solutions that can effect relief and long term change now and in the future.

She has specialized training in art therapy and group therapy. She is a member of Houston Group Psychotherapy Society and sits on the Board chairing the Membership Committee. She completed her post graduate internship and then was employed at The Women’s Home where she provided psychotherapy in various modalities to homeless women diagnosed with both mental illness and substance dependency. Her first decade plus long career was as an arts professional producing the Art Car Parade as Assistant Director of The Orange Show Foundation.

Her interests include the transformative power of creative artistic expression and the implementation of social change through discourse.

Jean Riojas-Foyt

In a warm and compassionate manner, Jean utilizes a variety of proven psychological techniques to address the often hidden and underlying struggles faced by many individuals and families. Jean offers over 12 years of training and experience working with couples, families, adolescents, individuals, and groups. She has also worked extensively within the public school system to assist children and their families. Jean has worked with many individuals, families and couples struggling with depression, relationship conflicts, anger management, family conflicts, marital challenges, parent/adolescent life cycle struggles, and process groups, including work within the school system. Jean has also utilized her own diverse cultural background to work with a variety of cultural challenges.

Jean has received comprehensive training in a variety of therapeutic techniques, including
cognitive-behavioral therapy and collaborative therapy. Cognitive-behavioral therapy is based on the idea that your own thoughts and beliefs lead to your negative moods and unhealthy behavior. Collaborative therapy is utilized to help individuals explore their dilemmas and challenges and to feel empowered to resolve them.

Jean received her
Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and completed her internship through the University of Texas Medical branch-Galveston, where she was able to utilize a collaborative approach while she trained within the Family Medicine department.
